Food for Seniors
Many low-income Seniors go without food in order to pay their housing or prescription bills. Many are housebound and volunteers deliver the Emergency Food Assistance Program packages of food staples each month, together with personal cleaning and hygiene items.
Food for Families

In 2015, Storehouse West provided food for almost 15,900 people, which would serve over 246,000 meals.
Food boxes are prepared containing non-perishables, milk, eggs, bread, hamburger and chicken, enough for a week of meals. Donated produce and baked items from local supermarkets complete the food box. When available, personal hygiene items are included in the boxes.
Younger children have a greater dietary need for protein and calcium to help their muscles and bones grow. Therefore families with young children receive double portions of dairy and meat or other protein products. During the summer when school is not in session peanut butter, jelly and other lunch foods are provided.
