The Emergency Assistance Food Program (TEFAP) is funded by United States Department of Agriculture and is administered in Sandoval County by Storehouse West in partnership with the Roadrunner Food Bank. Storehouse West clients are eligible to receive food distributions once a month. Food packages include non-perishable staples and canned goods, as well as fresh produce, meats and peanut butter, dairy products, breads and a variety of other food items when available.

To register you will need to bring the following information and documents with you:
--Present proof of residency in Sandoval County. Please bring a current bill with your name and address printed on it.
--Present photo identification card for each adult member of the household.
--Present proof of identification for each child younger than 18 in the household. Id for youth may be a birth certificate OR school id card OR Medicare card.
--Meet the TEFAP federal government guidelines for low-moderate income families.

The Kids Clothes Closet distributes gently-used clothing plus new underwear and socks to children from birth through high school. Children may receive clothing every other month.
Donated clothes come from schools, churches, and individuals. The volunteer staff assists the parents and children with finding proper sizes allowing the children to try on items to ensure a correct fit.

Call for information about help with utility bills and the required documentation. We have some funds available for Waste Management bills and water bills. Funds are limited and availability is unpredictable.
The Salvation Army is sometimes able to help with utilities, especially heating.
